One more Costume...

Costumes. AGAIN!

Hey, what can I say? When you've got a cute little brother who enjoys dressing up, you can't help dressing him up a little. I did NOT do the following, but these outfits still are cute!

 Notice the purple purse swung over his shoulder. (Dad's gonna kill me!) The orange Home Depot apron, Thomas the Train sunglasses, and a passie he's never really gotten into.

The little guy came up with this outfit himself! Ana's winter hat and a purple striped scarf! All with a diaper!

 And, finally, a fishie towel. THAT he looks adorable in! Some friends gave us this as a present when we brought him home!

We love dressing this little buddy! He looks good in any color. :-)

Our Fourth of July....

Yesterday we celebrated The Fourth of July! Lucas is at Papa and Nana's, so he wasn't here to celebrate. Both sides of the family had parties this year to celebrate, but we didn't go 1. Because Minte does not do well with long car rides. (He's not used to riding in cars). and 2. Minte, me, and Mom are sick. Minte's the worst. His temp is in the hundreds and he mostly just cuddles. Which is fun to hold him for an hour or two, but sad to know how sick he is!

We started the day with church. Mom and Minte had to stay home, though. Ana wore a special Fourth of July dress.Three other girls at church were wearing the same dress!!! It was pretty cool. Then we headed to the store to shop for our supper. mmmmmm...

After we were at home, we ate and hung out in the afternoon. Played some computer games, the wii, etc.

THEN we had our delicious supper. Strawberries, watermelon, cheetos, hot dogs, sausages, and a rice krispie treat flag! It was very yummy!

Then we went to fireworks. It was hard to find a good place as there were very few empty parking spots. We did end up finding a spot, and we figured the fireworks would begin soon as it was 9:30ish, but we were very wrong! The fireworks didn't start until 10ish. Unfortunately, there were a bunch of trees in the way so we were only able to see the high ones. We didn't even get to see the finale, which is my favorite!

We ended up staying up really late!!

Today we are having s'mores!! Dad has the day off today, so we should have a lot of fun!

Ana's Hair

 This little lady got her hair softened a while back. It was a long process, yet Mom managed to do it without ruining Ana's hair. At the end, Ana's hair was less curled and much easier to brush out and do stuff with. I mean, her hair is usually a wild afro when it's loose, but after this, it hung nicely down.

 It was so pretty!

 I got her dressed all prettily with a necklace, new shirt and everything. A new outfit must go with a new hairdo!

Her hair was SO nice!

What's going on with us today.

1. Our 2 year old friend, Nathan, came home from the hospital today! We have been praying that he would be able to come home soon, and finally he is! Thank you, God!

2. Lucas is visiting Papa and Nana up north until Tuesday. He has a lot planned to do! I think they're going to the cottage, so I'm sure a lot of fishing is planned. And swimming!

3. Our little kitten for the day went home to his family last night. We found his home and though the family said we could keep the little guy, we left him there. He was definitely glad to be home.

4. We got out the slip 'n slide today and the kids had a great time!! Even Minte! He was soaked through his clothes towards the end. He kept running through the sprinklers and even tried crawling down the slip 'n slide until he started slipping. ( I was trying to show him how to go down and he started pushing me down until finally my jeans and shirt were soaking wet)! I think Minte is the first of us kids to enjoy and not mind water at 2 years old!!

5. Minte is sick with some kind of flu-like sickness! :-(

I can't wait for the Fourth of July! I want to see fireworks!!!!

A new member and a sermon

We have a new, temporary??, member of our family! An adorable, sweet, teensy, white kitten. We named it Violet, but have recently discovered it is in fact a boy. So we need a new name. Ana wants Sam. But I don't! Know any good, adorable, little kitten names? For a boy?? :-)

And for the sermon part. On Mom's birthday, we were given a very interesting sermon from our own Ana Mae! It was a very strange sermon. She had on a crown, held a purse, and was very, ummm..interesting.

Here are a few things she said that we HAD to write down...

"Chapter of LUCAS says..."

(Reading from the scriptures)- "The Lord of Jeremiah says 'The word of God will all decend!"

"You should advise God. Do you know what advise means?? It means you should love him and stuff."

"Chapter 66. The mean king squirrels the Lord. There are really evil kings in this life. There is a lady named Juicy. (laughter, so she changes the name) Juisus. She wants to marry the evil king. The evil stepmother decides yes. And they died in 1-6-5."

"It's true I guess. BE LORD OF THE KETCHUP! And mustard and chips and salsa!"

"BELIEVE the heaven of God! And don't sit in a cart and whine all day."
"BELIEVE in dreaming of eating cupcakes and puppies!"

"Chapter 65. Jeremiah Lisa will believe the heavens. BELIEVE a pen! BELIEVE the trees. and BELIEVE the light, and the chocolate!"

"BELIEVE the hand of the pizza!"

"And then my sister Vesey wil come and speak! Bye!"

This is SO bad! And so funny! She kinda gets all this, but definitely like a 6 year old! PLEASE do not take this "sermon" as a real sermon!! This is not biblically correct! ;-)
